Handmade by Buffy – Puzzles is a sister owned small Chicago based business. 20 x 28″ puzzles are produced with sustainable materials and include a compact 9 x 7 x 1.6″ tab locking box, a resealable bag for the puzzle pieces and a 12 x 17″ full color reference poster. Eco-friendly shipping boxes are also made from recycled cardboard and are custom-sized to reduce filler waste.

This collection of 1000pc puzzles features hand embroidered illustrations on canvas by Chicago artist, Buffy (me). Puzzles are printed on GradeA recycled cardboard with vibrant water based inks. There are three design series: Hipster Gnome, Whimsical Sea & Besties Meetup. At launch we have 8 embroidered art puzzle designs available. There are more coming to each series so keep checking for new arrivals!
Hipster Gnome Series
This series is inspired by the gnomes from our childhood but modernized with a GenX – Millennials attitude. Clad in a red cap, green hoodie & colorful clogs, Hipster Gnome explores life on a smaller scale: whether he’s walking his pet bee while scrolling on his phone (we all do it), enjoying a star-lit date night with his lady, or avoiding puddles with his mushroom umbrella on a spring day!
Whimsical Sea Series
This series is inspired after watching sea life documentaries with my son. I became fascinated with Octopuses & other wonderful little creatures. This has a more whimsical flare flowing into fantasy so I threw in Mermaids & such as well. The featured sea character swims surrounded by colorful sea creatures, tiny fish, coral and algae plants.
Bestie Meetup Series
A perfect gift for your Bestie, this series is follows best friends at different meetup locales with their little dog. Our gals are food & beverage connoisseurs so they like to visit coffee shops, farmers markets & the like.
Puzzles are officially here & we are in a “Beta phase” for taking orders so bear with us for learning curves. The “Buy Now” buttons above will take you to PayPal. They are currently set up individually vs as a cart. You can order multiples but for now you may need to indicate in the notes when you order if any other designs. We’re still working out shipping so just indicate if you need it & give your address. We’ll work out if we need to add shipping payment or subtract discounts (as I learn how).

After you receive your order we would appreciate any feedback you can give us on improving your experience. Eventually we will have a functional order directly from the site, vs payment requests, but in the meantime we’d like to streamline the rest of the process. Were the payment options good?
